Visit by Hon Stephen Szabo JP

Today Paul Borrow-Longain had sincere pleasure showing his friend of long standing, Stephen Szabo of New South Wales around the capital of Devonshire on his inaugural visit.

Devonshire is one of the most ancient and beautiful counties in the United Kingdom, and Paul can trace his Maternal Family lineage to the 12th Century, and Exeter has a long and distinguished history dating from at least Roman Britain approximately 2,000 years ago.

Stephen’s day started with a light breakfast at The Ivy, followed by a visit to Exeter Cathedral; the Royal Albert Memorial Museum; The Guildhall (Exeter’s City Hall); the Roman Remains; the House that Moved (Tudor period house come shop); the Customs House; the historic canal harbour front; and ending with a traditional carvery at Carriages.
