Today, via the Exeter Lord Mayors Annual Charity fundraising initiatives, Paul Borrow-Longain made a private donation to the Force Cancer Charity located on the site of the Royal Devon University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
FORCE Cancer Charity provides free support and information to anyone affected by cancer at their centre in Exeter and at local community hospitals.
They offer counselling, group sessions, complementary therapies, benefits advice, specialist physiotherapy and exercise guidance and other health and wellbeing support. Their services are available to cancer patients and their families.
Members of Paul’s family have suffered from cancer previously, and he feels it’s imperative that research into new and enhanced treatments continue apace, allowing for increased survival rates. There are many medical conditions that are greatly deserving of financial support, and cancer research and support is most certainly one.
