{"id":1251,"date":"2023-04-25T11:41:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-25T11:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.farnes.net\/paul\/?p=1251"},"modified":"2023-06-06T11:45:49","modified_gmt":"2023-06-06T11:45:49","slug":"anzac-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.farnes.net\/paul\/anzac-day\/","title":{"rendered":"ANZAC Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Today all Australians and New Zealanders mark Anzac Day, their national day of remembrance that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders &#8220;who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations&#8221; and &#8220;the contribution and suffering of all those who have served&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Observed on 25 of April each year, Anzac Day was originally devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served in the Gallipoli campaign, their first engagement in the First World War (1914\u20131918).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul Borrow-Longain said: \u201cI have the utmost respect and admiration for all Australians and New Zealanders who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their Sovereign and countries throughout their proud history.
