Each year on the 11th of January, HI&RH Archduke Karl von Habsburg, dynastic head of the Royal House of Austria-Hungary, son of the last Crown Prince, gives a speech on the Future of Europe.
As a former Member of the European Parliament for Austria (1996-1999) and a lifelong supporter of the pan-European movement, Archduke Karl gave a passionate overview of reason European events, including the invasion of Ukraine by the armed forces of the Russian Federation and presented his informed views on the future of the great European Project.
It was a pleasure to watch his speech live via video as he addressed an audience in Vienna.
The annual speech also acts as part of the Archduke’s birthday celebrations.
