Like many millions of people from the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth Realms, across the Commonwealth of Nations and arguably from all ‘corners’ of the globe, Paul Borrow-Longain watched with great reverence the coronation of King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla.
The Coronation service took place at Westminster Abbey in front of approximately 2000 guests including members of the British Royal Family, the Shand/Parker-Bowles Family, Foreign Royalty (many of which are members of King Charles’ extended family), elected Heads of State, religious leaders, community and charity leaders, representatives of the other Commonwealth Realms and many others who had the honour and privilege of watching this historic event in person.
To have seen and able to recall the previous coronation of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, one would need to be at least 80 years old (and potentially older). Paul’s maternal Grandmother was 19, and was just 3 when King George VI was crowned in 1937. Therefore for many of His Majesties Subjects this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
His Majesty made it clear that he serves and not to be served. Following the example of Her Late Majesty, King Charles III is committed to serving all of his peoples to the best of his ability.
A call to service which Paul has always answered to the very best of his ability and resources.
